Blown away by this place. I used to go to another local vet but noticing all the miss communication and getting a shrug and smile after asking a rather important question I knew it was time to switch. I’m glad I made the switch to Parkway. They are thorough and follow through. Also they answer questions honestly and not a shrug and a smile. Whether they know or don’t. Thank you parkway for taking great care of my pets.

They were no longer able to provide care for our large cat so we had to find another vet... Our cat is 25lb and has urinary crystals that requires a lifelong prescription. Parkway has approved our prescriptions for a long time but they said they changed the policy because there is no money in writing prescriptions. The representative explained to me that they make money through appointments and that I would have to in essence pay a recurring tribute to the hospital for the privilege of getting the medication that our cat needs... The problem is our cat is aggressive towards strangers. The sedatives that we are able to get do not work on him because he's a big cat. The vet always has to sedate him way more than they do other animals, using the industrial strength sedatives, and keep him overnight. We end up paying an extra cost for that and more importantly, I don't think it is healthy for the cat to provide so many drugs and ruin the cats anxiety just to fatten the vets wallet. They want us to bring him in for check ups twice a year but in my opinion that is going to do more harm than good. We asked if there is any option to do telehealth or other options but the representative that we spoke with was rude, dismissive and unhelpful, made it clear that they would not provide any kind of accommodation for our cat. I am giving 2 stars because the vet has been good to us in the past but I guess they have started to lose money and now it was made abundantly clear to me it is all about the bottom line and that helping animals has become the subordinate goal. We found a new vet that can accommodate our cats needs so we will be going there from now on. If anyone made it this far, go check out the recent reviews and sort them by most recent. A lot of other people are making the same kind of claims about how they have changed and that they don't care about your pets anymore.
