We had to put our dog down and our doctor was away so we were told about martinsville veterinary hospital. They were so kind and thoughtful, helping us along with the process. Ensuring that our dog was going to be safe and calm during the process and thanked us for giving her an amazing life. Great staff and couldn't thank them enough.

You will not find a more caring and compassionate veterinarian, and staff to care for your pet than Martinsville Veterinary Hospital. While sadly, we lost our cat (somewhat suddenly), I truly in my heart, believe that the doctor and team did absolutely everything in their power to ensure that he was not in pain while trying to save his life. Although we had to say goodbye, which was incredibly painful, I couldn’t imagine going through that experience with any other team. Thank you for all of the care and compassion. You showed to not only our wonderful cat, Jack, but also to our entire family. Your support and everything.

Dr. Shendell and her team always go above and beyond for our fur babies. We have been through atleast four vets before we came across Dr. Shendell & Dr. Weltner. Both are great, kind and caring veterinarians! My wife and I are both nurses and let me tell you, these guys are the best that we've been to in Jersey so far (location wise). Dr. Shendell and Dr. Mooney did surgery twice on my 21 year old alien baby (Biff). They gave us an extension with him for which I am forever grateful. DO NOT second guess yourself or the people here! They are awesome and my wife and I will NEVER stop coming here.....unless we move...or get abducted by my new boy's alien family...Shhh...don't tell the Feds!

My last experience with Martinsville Animal Hospital left me disappointed and disgusted. No compassion or concern for animal care, but a clinic that appears more concerned about the old mighty dollar. Just to mention one of the issues, Dr. Shendell would not give us a script for a different medicated food without an office visit. My cat was seen by her 3 weeks prior. The UTI food was not for a new diagnosis she's been on UTI food for years. My kitty was barely eating her current medicated food due to a side effect of a new thyroid medication. I wanted to try a different brand, but Dr. Shendell could care less because she was more concerned about charging for a office visit that really wasn't necessary. Addionally they can't handle their current amount of patients because they don't return calls or emails for test results. Very frustrating and stressful.

Dr. Shendell and her entire staff is amazing! She has taken the time to get to know our dogs allowing them to feel safe and loved. We have recently had a health scare with one of our dogs. She takes the time to explain everything in detail including the cost. I highly recommend Martinsville Animal Hospital!
