One week ago, we found a kitty on the side of our house with convulsions. We thought he had been hit by a car. Turned out he had been poisoned. I called a vet nearby who referred me to animal control. Another told me the same thing. Mine also said no. Call animal control. I was very desperate because I knew this kitty had no future and I wanted him to die with dignity in a confortable place and not the street. Cameron Animal Hospital was the only one who told us to bring him in. Dr. Houston came out to see him and asked someone who was there with another cat for a checkup if we could go ahead and the lady said yes. This poor young cat probably never had a home, a name, never known love and having 5 of my own I can't imagine this kitty dying alone. As Dr. Cameron once told me: They have miserable lives on the street. He was so hungry that he ate a rat that was contaminated. It's horrible what rat poison does to a cat. It's a week later and I still think about him and cry. The light stroke that I gave him on his head as he was dying was probably the only one he ever got. Dr. Houston kept calling him Buddy, so that's how I will remember him. So even though I had my issues with Dr. Houston in the past, I thank her for her kindness now.

Under the leadership of Dr. Elizabeth Houston, Cameron Animal Hospital, as well as Cameron Animal Rescue, has thrived. I am an experienced pet owner and rescuer for over 30 years. I have taken my pets to many "specialists", and I can say unequivocally that Dr. Houston knows just as much, if not more. She is also an excellent surgeon, and just an amazing individual in general. The staff is kind, caring, and considerate. They go above and beyond to treat your pets. Molly is a staunch animal advocate, and trust and believe, her only concern is what is best for your pet and any animal in the rescue. Heidi always finds a way to fit me in when I am frantic. Diane, Dorice, Lisa, and Justin are so wonderful and always take that extra moment that they truly don't have to say a kind word and pet a furry head. I would never trust anywhere as much as I trust Cameron Animal Hospital.

I had an amazing experience with Cameron Animal Hospital. From the moment I met my cat to the day I brought him home, the team was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and supportive. They were very thorough in explaining his background, diet, and personality, and it was clear they truly care about both the animals and the families adopting them. You can tell they put a lot of thought into making sure each pet goes to the right home. Bringing my first cat home has already meant so much to me, and I’m really grateful to Cameron Animal Hospital for making the process so smooth and positive. UPDATE: I wish I could leave even more stars honestly. I had a slight concern with my newly adopted cat’s transition and they were not only able to offer advice but also accommodate a last minute appointment if needed for me. I can’t say enough good things about this place!

This vet does a really great job caring for animals. They’re kind, patient, and you can tell they truly care about the work they do. It never feels rushed, and they take the time to make sure animals are comfortable and well cared for. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a vet who is not only skilled, but genuinely compassionate and dependable.
