After years of being a patient, my dog will no longer go there. When she was young, she didn’t need them but now that she is older, they aren’t there for her. She was on their wellness program. What a rip off. Don’t go there. 13 years and they don’t know her nor do they care.

Very disappointing and dangerous experience at Banfield inside PetSmart in Rockaway, NJ. My 8-pound dog was diagnosed with Lyme disease and prescribed medication for 28 days. After leaving, I noticed the dosage was actually intended for a 30-pound dog. If I had not checked the medication myself, my dog could have been seriously harmed. When I returned to question the mistake and requested another test, the vet refused to repeat it that day and told me to come back in a week. I ended up paying almost $300 at another veterinary clinic for new testing, and my dog tested NEGATIVE for Lyme disease. This situation showed a serious lack of professionalism and attention to patient safety. Pet owners should not have to catch potentially dangerous medication errors themselves.

My dog, Bear, and my family LOVE Rockaway, NJ Banfield. From the front desk, Office Manager, Assistants, and Doctors ….. the best words to describe them are love and family. They love what they do and all the pets. They treat you like family. I have total faith in Banfield. I highly recommend other pet owners use them too.
