This is for people who know the difference between a vet who treats your pet and one who actually sees them. HomeCare Vet sees them. Finding a vet who understands your specific cat vs “understands cats” is rare. We knew that because Dr. Chris, our longtime vet, set a very high bar. When he retired, we didn’t expect to find that level of care again. HomeCare Vet more than meets it. Zoey is 16, has arthritis, and spent years in a shelter before we found each other. In all that time, she chose exactly two people: my husband and me. Lisa, the vet tech who now comes to our home for Zoey’s Solensia injections, is the third person Zoey has ever accepted. Lisa handled her, gave the injection, and afterwards Zoey kept approaching her, trying to play with Lisa. No medication for this visit. No hiding until the unknown human is gone. We had never seen that before. Dr. Patti didn’t just ask what was wrong. She took everything - history, constraints, concerns, asked the right clarifying questions, and built a plan around it. When I said I was concerned about undoing years of trust-building with regular injections (that is what happened the last time we tried Solensia), she adjusted the approach: in-home visits, new anxiety medication timed around appointments, and a care plan structured to reduce Zoey's stress and spread our costs over the year. Zoey is now thriving. She has been zooming around the house on her wall shelves and acting like a playful kitten. We were never rushed, never pressured, and always given clear options with the reasoning behind each. The communication was thorough and genuinely helpful at every step, including through the care plan process. We’re moving all three of our cats here. For a household that knows what good care looks like and won’t settle for less, that says a lot.

I have been bringing my 2 kitties to Dr Patti for about 3.5 yrs now. I love how kind and calm she is with them. I chose HomeCare Vets because my cat, Jack, is an FIP survivor and has IBD and I wanted a Vet that provides other options rather than harsh medications right away. She takes a cautious, step by step approach to treatment and is extremely knowledgeable. The vet techs and office admins have always been pleasant and helpful. I always recommend HomeCare Vets and Dr Patti to anyone who is looking for a caring Dr for their fur babies.
