I’ve been taking my dog to Dr Polo for 10+ years until she took her last breath today in his office. Thanks to him and his team for taking such amazing care of my fur baby.

Dr.Polo has been our veterinarian for many years. He consistently provides excellent care and explains his findings . We had an emergency with one of our dogs and seen immediately! Thank you Valarie. Ollie already shows signs of improvement after being treated. It would be neglectful not to mention Jill who reviewed treatment afterwards. She is consistently kind, professional and helpful. My sincere thanks to this group!

We are disgusted... Let me start by saying we have been taking our dog to Polo since she was 2 years old (2016) and we always felt very confident doing so, me and my family always had nothing but the best of things to say about him, he was always super knowledgeable and always had a very warm friendly demeanor about him. He was always the person we could 100% count on when it came to our dogs general health. In 2021 we made the decision to start utilizing a mobile veterinarian service to attend to our dog's general health from the comfort of our home because she (like many other dogs) gets super stressed when at the vet. Now fast forward to 2025 our dog is now 11 years old, she's very healthy for her age but unfortunately she was officially diagnosed with cushings disease in April 2025, which she is currently being treated for and has shown a significant improvement, her hair has grown back completely, shes not excessively drinking and urinating, her pot belly has diminished significantly and she has much more energy hence the medication is doing it's job. Now with that all that being said the cushings disease has definitely impacted her muscles the past few months.and she has also had arthritis and hip dysplasia since she was young (which was confirmed by Polo himself years ago) October 2025: We decided to go back to Polo as we always trusted his expertise and knowledge and ultimately we really enjoyed his warm friendly personality but unfortunately this was not at all how things felt when we visited him this time around, It was honestly NOT a good experience at all. His overall demeanor towards us has changed drastically, he was very cold, not welcoming with zero bed side manner, he honestly just didn't seem like his usual self or the person we used to know and trust with our dog. Honestly 90% of the visit essentially consisted of him scrolling on his computer seeming very confused/frazzled trying to review her medical records from the past few months, which in hindsight he should have reviewed prior to him even walking into the exam room with us. It seriously felt like he had no idea why we were even there to begin with and we kept trying to tell him right from the start that our primary concern is her consistent shaking/muscle tremors (due to her muscle loss). He said she doesn't seem to have arthritis but maybe a bulging disc in her neck, which was odd hearing that from him because he told us many years ago that she did in fact have the beginnings of arthritis when he took an x ray of her and she was 2-3 years old then. He was not helpful, everything we would say and or ask he would essentially rebuttal it immediately. Just for example, I would ask him if X Y or Z could help her and he would nonchalantly answer "no that won't help her" and not even explain why it wouldn't, nor would he give us a better suggestion based on his knowledge, he was very standoffish the whole time and we honestly felt a strange vibe from him right from the get go. The visit essentially concluded with him just telling us he wants to further review her medical records before we move forward with any treatment in relation to her muscle weakness etc... He then told us verbatim that he would contact us within 24-48 hours with a plan and now it's been a week and nor he or his office staff has contacted us to follow up. I'm honestly beyond disappointed and disgusted, it's super unprofessional and just flat out mean considering he has known my dog for so many years and now he just doesn't care enough to even reach back out to us. We really went in there with super high expectations and now it just seems like his ego was hurt because we took our dog some place else for the past 4 years and also because he wasnt the one to initially dignose/treat her from the start. It was a very odd and unpleasant experience overall. I'm never taking my dog back here again, Polo is not who he used to be and it's extremely disappointing and sad.
