EDIT: I see a comment back from the office still saying “we can’t leave your dog having seizures and do nothing.” Again, the bedside manner and professionalism are laughable. More importantly, it was proven our dog was not having seizures — he was misdiagnosed yet again. So what’s the response to that part? Is there any accountability for telling us our dog had seizures and a stroke and pushing euthanasia when none of that was accurate? Any apology from you guys? Or is it just “pay the bill and move on”? That bill will absolutely be disputed. Meanwhile, our dog is doing great and did not need to be put down — despite what we were told by you all. Added a picture so people can see for themselves that this is real and not some fake or paid review.
Iam absolutely sick over what happened to our dog here. We brought him in alert and stable he just looked sick and was having trouble standing, he got brought in and after being heavily sedated by this vet, we were told he was having seizures and had a stroke and were repeatedly pressured to euthanize him and “make a decision” because he was suffering. Even after we said no multiple times, the conversations continued in a way that felt cold, aggressive, and completely lacking compassion. He mentioned he gave him medication to help with the seizure and every-time he wakes up he needs to be sedated again.
In that moment, we decided to transfer him to an emergency animal hospital for a second opinion, and the vet seemed genuinely offended by our decision. But I was not about to euthanize our dog over something that did not feel right to me. It honestly felt like we were being pushed into a devastating decision while they were more concerned about making another quick buck.
To make matters worse, while we were actively transporting our dog into the car after being told he had “minutes” to get from point A to point B, staff came running out with a card scanner demanding immediate payment of over $1,200 while we were still trying to get him safely into the vehicle and get him there in less than 15 minutes. As if we have never been good for payment in the past. The lack of empathy and professionalism was shocking.
When we got to the emergency animal hospital, we were told he was NOT having seizures and according to the records there was no seizure medication given prior just sedation, and after further testing and MRI etc he had NOT suffered a stroke like we had been told by this vet. He was experiencing vertigo, and the twitching was likely caused by the amount of sedation medication he had been given. Hearing that after being pushed toward euthanasia is something I will never get over.
At this point, this vet feels more like a guess-and-check prescriber than someone taking the time to properly diagnose animals. Medication after medication, dramatic diagnosis after dramatic diagnosis, and somehow always another expensive recommendation attached to it. We’ve experienced multiple misdiagnoses here, and it honestly feels like accuracy comes second to pushing treatment plans and making money.
Unfortunately, this was not the first misdiagnosis we’ve experienced here either. Previously, we were told our dog had a torn ACL, only to find out from another vet that it was actually a split toenail causing the limp.
The bedside manner here was terrible from start to finish. Instead of support and careful evaluation, we felt guilted and shamed for wanting to keep our dog alive. I truly believe we almost lost our dog because of poor judgment and misdiagnosis and someone that doesn’t care about the well being of an animal more so making sure his building extension is paid for.
If you love your animals, please get a second opinion before making any life-changing decisions based on what you’re told here.
I’m incredibly grateful to this veterinary team for the care they gave my senior boxer during his mass removal surgery. After calling around to multiple vets, they were able to get us in for a same-day appointment and even safely perform the surgery that same day, which meant so much to me.
I was extremely nervous due to his age and having lost a dog during surgery in the past, but the vet took the time to reassure me and answer my questions. The surgery went well, and the entire staff was kind, helpful, and wonderful with my dog. I truly appreciate the care and support they gave us during such a stressful time.
This vet hospital is truly fantastic. The staff are all extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and work so well with my dog. They’re also extremely responsive via phone/email. The best part about this practice is that they are completely honest, and do not try to rip you off like so many other vets do. I trust their care and am so happy we found them!
