Dr. Cohen is just wonderful, so gentle with pets that are a little timid. All the techs are awesome and the front staff, particularly Lori, are fabulous. I can't say enough good things about this practice. Unfortunately my dog has ear issues so we are here fairly often, but the wonderful and caring staff makes it a lot less painful experience!!!!

My dog Teddy has been going to Route 516 Animal Hospital for the past 12 years. Dr. Rodan and the staff are very professional, caring, and understanding. My dog can be very aggressive to treat, but they are always able to handle him. All though there are other Veterinary hospitals closer to me, I prefer the services at Route 516.

The doctor and tech were friendly and so caring. They took their time to make sure Gizmo was comfortable during the entire exam and answered all my questions.

The good: the doctors and techs are super friendly and helpful. Our dog is normally incredibly nervous around strangers but he handles these folks like a champ! The bad: Good luck ever getting your pet's medication filled in person here. You'll be told "it's on the doctor's desk to be filled today" and then you'll call back several times in a week to be told to wait another 24-48 hours, even when you specifically tell them your pet has been out of their critical medication for several days. No sympathy whatsoever and no attempts to make it right. Update 4/20/26 - They were finally able to get us set up with their online medication delivery service, and that has been great for the last few months. The online pharmacy allows you to set auto-delivery and even do one-time adjustments to your schedule as needed. They also offer generics to help save money on certain name-brand meds.

Huge shout out to the front desk ladies thank you for all your hard work and dedication. I can’t say enough about 516 Animal Hospital and Dr. Cohen. My dog Brandy was a patient there for 10 years, and they always took amazing care of her, as well as all of my other dogs and cats. When I had to say goodbye to Brandy, they showed incredible compassion—coming out to greet me at my car and supporting me through such a difficult moment. I will never forget their kindness. I truly trust them with all of my animals and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and dedicated veterinary team.
