A good friend of mine was having trouble taking care of her sick dog, and Dr. Schotland was exactly what we needed at the toughest time. She was patient with us, gentle with the dog, and everything someone could ask for in a veterinarian. Her tech was also professional, diligent, and equally gentle. We had trouble finding the right doctor for Archie, but Stony Brook Home Veterinary Care was there to save the day. Thanks, Doc!

I found this vet nearly impossible to contact. She never answered the phone when I called. I explained on her answering machine that Iam in my 80s and unable to leave my house, and that my cat was dying. While I was waiting for her to respond my cat died. She never did call back. Avoid this vet. She may have a way with cats but she should never deal with a human,

DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR FOR AT HOME PET EUTHANASIA!! They are extremely insensitive, vague, and unable to be reached. If you are looking for someone to take care of your loved one, DO NOT CALL WENDY or her “assistant” LIZ. Horrible service

This Doctor has an excellent bedside manner, which is important because animals cannot talk. Therefore, it is imperiative a Veterinarian can deliver and receive communication effectively. The staff at Stony Brook Home Veterinary Care could write the book on how to do that. They showed incredible regard for my dogs. Especially at the end; making a horribly difficult decision, bearable. I cannot recommend them enough.

Unfortunately recently I had to have my dog Eisey (Eisenhower)of 15 years put down .. I called Stony Brook vet to assist me with this. Although this was one of the most difficult things I've had to do.. they helped ease some of the pain with their compassion and caring that they showed during this difficult time. I miss my boy
